The Æ George Russell Society was launched at the United Arts Club in Upper Fitzwilliam Street, Dublin, in October 2023.
The idea of a national / international society was conceived a number of years ago by a group of devotees, in response to the growing interest in Æ across Ireland and beyond.
There was a fantastic response on the day of the launch, and the United Arts Club was filled with Æ enthusiasts, with international attendees Zooming in from Japan and the U.S. The launch garnered media coverage from both RTE and BBC.
At the launch, the new Society’s priorities were identified and a constitution was agreed. Interim officers and a committee were elected, and the Society welcomed its first founder members.
